Here is where Bill Clinton is unique. He is still beloved by Democrats even though he is the one President who has stated publicly that he regrets almost every single piece of signature legislation he supported and passed. They are; NAFTA, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, Welfare Reform, Defense of Marriage Act, repeal of Glass-Steagall, the drug war, and of course his crime bill. He has also stated the he regrets his non action in Rwanda. So, of course he remains one of the popular Democratic Presidents ever! Go figure!
